New work for NAR

I always love having shoots in upstate NY and connecting with fellow New Yorkers + creatives who made the move from the city to the upstate life! I had the opportunity to do both on this shoot for the National Association of Realtors + Apartment Therapy up in Greenville, NY. We photographed interior design extraordinaire, Megan Pflug’s Woodhouse Lodge room by room and with DIY tips to give you a peek into the lodge and how Megan pulled off this amazing project. I LOVED working with Megan! We had a lot of fun and she was super easy to collaborate with, here’s to hoping there are many more collabs in the future!

Take a peek at the story here.

New work for Ann Stillman O'Leary

Back in June I traveled up to Lake Placid, NY to work for a new-to-me client, Ann Stillman O’Leary, a fabulous designer based in the Adirondacks. We spent two days up there shooting spaces that she designed for her clients. I loved working with Ann! She was super easy to collaborate with, incredibly sweet and wonderfully decisive (I love a lady who knows what they want!). It was also such a beautiful area that I loved exploring. We even enjoyed evening boat rides on the lake with a glass of wine! You can’t beat that life.

Here are some of the images we captured that week:

Branding Photography for Rebecca Haas Jewelry

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is getting to work with the people behind the brands that I love, no matter how big or small. I love to work with other artists and makers to capture their products in a way that will really sell them and the lifestyle they represent.

Last year I purchased a piece of jewelry from Rebecca Haas. I fell in love with her work the second I saw it. It’s simple, chic and so beautiful. We maintained a friendship via Instagram being that she is in Vermont and I’m in New York and I have so enjoyed seeing all of the new pieces she creates. This past summer Rebecca reached out to me wondering if I would be interested in photographing her jewelry and I said heck yes! We were able to meet in person (up in Vermont-sooo lovely!), which was fabulous and we were able to work together on creating images for her website, social media and banners for when she goes to shows.

We had a blast working together and I couldn’t stop staring at all of her beautiful jewelry throughout the day! This subject matter was a little outside of my normal comfort zone but it’s important to always push yourself and after all, my passion is helping brands tell their story through photography and that’s what we did!

Hampton Designer Showhouse for Rajni Alex Design

This summer one of my favorite clients, Rajni of Rajni Alex Design, created an incredible outdoor space for the Hampton Designer Showhouse in Bridgehampton, NY. Her space is bursting of color (which I love!), has French Mediterranean vibes throughout and don’t even get me started on that stunning bougainvillea!!

I’m so happy I was able to capture this space for Rajni and we were all so excited with how much press coverage, reposts, mentions, etc.. she got for this project! It went viral! All winter long I will be dreaming of sitting on that sofa sipping some bubbly in the late evening glow of that beautiful summer sunshine.

Self-care with Tempur-Pedic

Being a photographer, I’m always putting my body in unnatural positions to get the perfect shot. I could be looking down all day shooting tasty dishes at an overhead angle or I’ll be crouched and twisted in a corner trying to get the perfect angle of a room. After 8 years of that, my body is feeling it, to say the least.

I’ve recently realized how important it is to stretch out my neck, back and shoulders throughout the day, get up and walk around if I’m sitting at my computer all day (even if I have a tight deadline!), and get a good night’s sleep where my neck is in the right position and supported by my pillow. Self-care is so important to keep my body going and doing what I love…taking pictures!

Sleeping on these Tempur-Pillows helps me sleep comfortably straight through the night and wake up feeling refreshed. An added self-care bonus: a healthy + hearty breakfast in bed!

New work for Cape Cod Chips!

Cape Cod chips are my number one go-to chip. They are perfectly crunchy, salty and sturdy. So I was super excited to work on this campaign with The Kitchn for Cape Cod's new Waves chips. These wavy chips are great for dipping so we photographed 3 deliciously hearty dips and the Waves chip stood up to the test on all of them. No chips were broken in the making of these photos!

Check out the full article and get the dip recipes, here
